So I figure I am about 1/3 of they way through my first effort. Since I’ve been working since last January I am not sure if this is a good milestone or not. I think l I will go with the positive.
In an effort to jumpstart my focus I have signed up for a week long workshop over at http://www.savvyauthors.com/ Some good idea’s already–helping me to learn a little more about my characters focus and emotional needs. Weird learning about someone I made up.
My next effort involves changing up my routine a little bit. I normally drop the kid off at school and then head to the gym-because without a little activity I am a mess–I find however that I often don’t write if I set my day up that way. For the last month I have been to the gym at least 4 times a week in the morning = writing once a week or not at all.
So…now I am going to switch it and write before the workout.
Will this work? We shall see. What do other authors do for excercise? I am not a morning person so that fabled early morning run is just not going to happen, I envy those who can do that.
Next I’ll work on the ‘in-home’ procrastination. 🙂
